Terms of Use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms apply when you use Psalms Studio on the web (psalmsstudio.com) or in the iPhone app. By using Psalms Studio you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service
Psalms Studio works out the chords, key, tempo, beat and sections of songs you add, and offers practice tools such as a tuner, metronome, chord diagrams and lessons. Chords are produced automatically and can be wrong; treat them as a starting point and check them by ear. Chords marked ✓ Studio Verified have been checked by our team, but mistakes are still possible.
Your account
You can try Psalms Studio without an account. If you sign in, keep access to your email account secure and tell us at once if you think someone else is using your Psalms Studio account. You must be at least 13 years old, or have a parent's or guardian's permission, to use Psalms Studio.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes one 30-second chord preview a day and the tuner and metronome. Pro unlocks the features listed on the pricing page. Prices are shown before you pay and may differ by country.
- Pro Pass on the web (GCash): a one-time payment for 1 month or 1 year of Pro. It does not renew automatically. Pro starts once we confirm your payment and ends when the pass period is over. If you buy another pass while Pro is active, the new period is added to the end of the current one.
- iPhone app: Pro bought in the app is a subscription billed by Apple through your Apple ID. It renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Refunds are explained in our Refund Policy. We may change prices or Pro features in the future; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
Studio Verified requests
Pro includes a number of Studio Verified requests each month, in which our team checks a song's chords. A request that isn't completed within 7 days expires and its credit is returned. We may decline a request, for example if the audio is unclear or the song can't be identified.
What you add
Only add audio and links you have the right to use, for example music you own, recordings you made, or songs you are allowed to play and practise. You keep all rights to what you add. You give us permission to process it to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy. Don't use Psalms Studio to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, overload or attack the service, or get around its limits (for example by creating many free accounts).
Copyright
Psalms Studio does not sell or distribute songs. If you believe content in Psalms Studio infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] with the details; we remove infringing material within 48 hours of a valid notice.
Our service and content
The Psalms Studio app, website, software, chord detection models, lessons and design belong to Psalms Studio and its licensors. You may use them for your own practice, teaching and performance, but not copy, resell or reverse-engineer them.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Psalms Studio running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, slow or changed. We may update or remove features. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; if we close a paid account for a reason that isn't your fault, we refund the unused part of your Pro Pass.
Limitation of liability
Psalms Studio is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Philippine consumer law that can't be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or on the website. Continuing to use Psalms Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
